The St. Paul Sound of Praise’s A September to Remember Community Block Party was held at 587-595 18th Avenue (between 18th and 19th Avenues), from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

The City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fees ($100.00) for the street closure will be waived.

 Whereas, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide an essential service to the residents of Newark; and

 

WHEREAS, the A September to Remember CommUNITY Block Party was held on 587-595 18th Avenue (between 18th and 19th Avenues), on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. The City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Permit Fees of One Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents, ($100.00) for the event will be waived; and

 

 WHEREAS, the A September to Remember CommUNITY Block Party provides the City of Newark the perfect opportunity to collaborate and experience various live performances, food, screenings, Zumba, haircuts, resources, a Kids Zone and community organizations.

 

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the A September to Remember CommUNITY Block Party that was held on 587-595 18th Avenue (between 18th and 19th Avenues), from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.  

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

 

1.                     The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the A September to Remember CommUNITY Block Party held on 587-595 18th Avenue (between 18th and 19th Avenues), on Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

 

2.                     The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this event and waives the City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fees of One Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($100.00), however, it does not waive insurance coverage requirements due to be provided by event organizers or costs above service charges described in R.O. 5:10-1 et seq.
