WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a North Ward Family Day of Fun at Branch Brook Park Cherry Blossom Visitor’s Center, Newark, New Jersey, on Friday, June 5, 2015 between 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. (Set up 12:00 P.M., Event 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.)
(Rain Date - Friday, June 12, 2015); and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving this Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement with the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Branch Brook Park Cherry Blossom Visitor’s Center, Newark, New Jersey, for the North Ward Family Day of Fun on Friday, June 5, 2015 between 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. (Set up 12:00 P.M., Event 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.). (Rain Date - Friday, June 12, 2015).
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT:
