WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide an essential service and entertainment to the residents of Newark while also bringing attention and awareness to all segments of the society; and
WHEREAS, the “E-Waste Recycling Event,” will allow the community to clean areas around their homes and an opportunity to collect the electronic items needed to be disposed of in a place specifically available for that reason; and
` WHEREAS, the E-Waste Recycling Event, Saturday, October 24, 2026, Elwood Avenue between Summer Avenue and Lincoln Avenue, 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 PM.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the “E-Waste Recycling Event, Saturday, October 24, 2026, Elwood Avenue between Summer Avenue and Lincoln Avenue, 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 PM.
2. The Municipal Council is sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fee ($0.00) however, it does not waive insurance coverage requirements due to be provided by event organizers or costs above service charges described in R.O. 5:10-1 et seq.

This resolution supports and declares sponsorship by the Municipal Council of E-Waste Recycling Event, Saturday, October 24, 2026, Elwood Avenue between Summer Avenue and Lincoln Avenue, 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 PM. The City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fee ($0.00), for an event to be held in the North Ward), sponsored by Council Member Anibal Ramos, Jr., North Ward.
