WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals, and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described locations in the South Ward of the City of Newark are hereby acknowledged as bus stops:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

2. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
3. No Amendment will be made to this resolution without the approval of the Municipal Council of the City of Newark.
4. Upon approval, the Engineering Department will forward a copy of this resolution to the City Clerk’s Office to notify them of the Local Government’s approval for the acknowledgement of bus stops as stated.
5. Upon approval, a certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to New Jersey Transit to notify them of the Local Government’s approval for the acknowledgement of bus stops as stated.
6. Upon approval, a certified copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to The Department of Transportation to notify them of the Local Government’s approval for the acknowledgement of bus stops as stated.
7. Pursuant to NJSA 39:4-8 (e) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, the proposed bus stop acknowledgement does not require New Jersey Department of Transportation’s approval.

This resolution acknowledges the existence of bus stops along Route NJ 27 in the South Ward of the City of Newark.
