WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Annual Best of the East Ward Summer Basketball Camp at East Side High School (Gymnasium and Rest Rooms), 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, from Monday, July 11, 2016 through Friday, August 12, 2016, between 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of East Side High School (Gymnasium and Restrooms), 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, from Monday, July 11, 2016 through Friday, August 12, 2016, between 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. for the East Ward Summer Basketball Camp, sponsored by Councilman Augusto Amador.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby supports the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of East Side High School (Gymnasium and Restrooms), 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, from Monday, July 11, 2016 through Friday, August 12, 2016, between 3:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. for the East Ward Summer Basketball Camp, sponsored by Councilman Augusto Amador.
