WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Annual Mother’s Day Senior Brunch, at The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, to be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard, Newark, New Jersey 07102, The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, and its agents, employees and representatives for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the Annual Mother’s Day Senior Brunch, to be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, for the benefit of the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard, Newark, New Jersey. 07102, The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, and its agents, employees and representatives for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M., for the Annual Mother’s Day Senior Brunch, sponsored by Council Member Anibal Ramos, Jr.
