WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Children’s Christmas Light Parade and Celebration at Flamboyan Manor (outside/inside), 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, from 4:30 P.M. until 5:30 P.M. and The North Ward Center, 346 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., on Friday, December 6, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event that will benefit Newark residents, by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Flamboyan Manor, 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 and The North Ward Center, 346 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Flamboyan Manor (outside/inside), 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, from 4:30 P.M. until 5:30 P.M and The North Ward Center, 346 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., for the Children's Christmas Light Parade and Celebration, on Friday, December 6, 2019.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Flamboyan Manor, 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 and The North Ward Center, 346 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution supports the issuance by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, for the benefit of the Flamboyan Manor, 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 and The North Ward Center, 346 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Flamboyan Manor (outside/inside), 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, from 4:30 P.M. until 5:30 P.M. and The North Ward Center 346 Mt. Prospect Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., on Friday, December 6, 2019, for the Children’s Christmas Light Parade and Celebration, sponsored by Council Members, Luis A. Quintana, Anibal Ramos, Jr. and Carlos M. Gonzalez.
