WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the 4^th Annual Walk for the Cure Event in the East Ward at East Side High School (Lobby and Auditorium), 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, on Sunday, October 11, 2015, between 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M.; and

           WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of  the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

1.                     The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of East Side High School (Lobby and Auditorium), 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, on Sunday, October 11, 2015, between 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. 

2.                     The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.

3.                     A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

STATEMENT

This resolution hereby authorizes, and supports the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of East Side High School, 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, on Sunday, October 11, 2014, between 9:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. for the 4^th Annual Walk for the Cure Event in the East Ward, sponsored by Councilman Augusto Amador.
