WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting Kaboobie Summer Basketball League at Peshine Avenue School (Outside Basketball Courts), 433 Peshine Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, from Monday, July 10, 2023 through Monday, August 14, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM (Monday through Thursday only); and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Peshine Avenue School (Outside Basketball Courts), 433 Peshine Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, from Monday, July 10, 2023 through Monday, August 14, 2023, from, 1:00 PM until 6:00 (Monday through Thursday only), for the Kaboobie Summer Basketball League.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Peshine Avenue School (Outside Basketball Courts), 433 Peshine Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, from Monday, July 10, 2023 through Monday, August 14, 2023, from, 1:00 PM until 6:00 (Monday through Thursday only), for the Kaboobie Summer Basketball League, sponsored by Council Member Patrick O. Council.
