Whereas, the Municipal Council of the City of Newark is desirous of holding the 2018 Mayoral and Municipal Council Inauguration and Reorganization on the grounds of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support of this City-wide ceremonious event by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, One Center Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports and authorizes the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, One Center Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use for the 2018, Mayoral and Municipal Council Inauguration and Reorganization on Saturday, June 30, 2018 and Sunday, July 1, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, One Center Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement draw by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, One Center Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the grounds of NJPAC for purposes of the 2018 City of Newark Mayoral and Municipal Council Inauguration and Reorganization on Saturday, June 30, 2018 and Sunday, July 1, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 .A.M. and 6:00 P.M.
