WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Community Meeting regarding the Ironbound Business Improvement District (IBID), at Oliver Street School, 86 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105 (Auditorium and Restrooms), on Monday, March 13, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this Community Meeting by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Oliver Street School, 86 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105 (Auditorium and Restrooms), for a Community Meeting regarding the Ironbound Business Improvement District (IBID) on Monday, March 13, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution approves the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Oliver Street School, 86 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105 (Cafeteria and Restrooms), for a Community Meeting regarding the Ironbound Business Improvement District (IBID) on Monday, March 13, 2017, from 5:00 P.M. until 10:00 P.M., sponsored by Councilman, Augusto Amador.
