WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Mobile MVC Unit at Mt. Carmel Church (parking lot), 259 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.; and

 

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this event and community service by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Mt. Carmel Church (parking lot), 259 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

 

1.                     The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Mt. Carmel Church, 259 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Mt. Carmel Church (parking lot), 259 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105 on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. for a Mobile MVC Unit for City residents to register for driver licenses, non-driver identification cards, vehicle registrations, license plates, driver placards and examination permits.

 

2.                     The Acting City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Mt. Carmel Church, 259 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for their records.

 

3.                     A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Mt. Carmel Church, 259 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Mt. Carmel Church (parking lot), 259 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, on
Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.,
for a Mobile MVC Unit for City residents to register for driver licenses, non-driver identification cards, vehicle registrations, license plates, driver placards and examination permits,  sponsored by Council Member, Michael J. Silva.
