WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting Council Member, Ras J. Baraka (South Ward) for the use of the Ronald Stone Gymnasium for a Celebrity Basketball Game at Weequahic High School, 279 Chancellor Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, on Saturday, April 21, 2012, from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of this program, which will benefit the children, families and residents of the City of Newark.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission agrees to Hold Harmless and Indemnify the Newark Public Schools from any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Weequahic High School, 279 Chancellor Avenue, Newark, New Jersey, 07112, for a Celebrity Basketball Game on Saturday, April 21, 2012, between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council shall, forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless Agreement to the Newark Public Schools for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

This resolution authorizes the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission to Hold Harmless and Indemnify Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for the use of the Ronald Stone Gymnasium for a Celebrity Basketball Game at Weequahic High School, 279 Chancellor Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, on Saturday, April 21, 2012, from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
