WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council (“Municipal Council”) desires to support the Annual Newark Three Kings Children’s Celebration at the Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 3:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. (Includes Set-up at 8:00 A.M. and Clean-up/Breakdown ending at 8:00 P.M); and

 

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its’ support for this wholesome event that will benefit Newark residents, by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark, Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Essex County College Gymnasium, 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

 

1.                     The Newark Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark, Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for the Annual Newark Three Kings Children’s Celebration on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 3:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. (Includes Set-up at 8:00 A.M. and Clean-up/Breakdown ending at 8:00 P.M.).

 

2.                     The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.

 

3.                     A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

 

 

STATEMENT

 

This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Essex County College (Gymnasium), 177 West Market Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for the Annual Newark Three Kings Children’s Celebration, to be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 3:30 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. (Includes Set-up at 8:00 A.M. and Clean-up/Breakdown ending at 8:00 P.M.), sponsored by Council Member Luis A. Quintana.
