WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Senior Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Brunch at The Waterfront (Gymnasium), 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of The Waterfront (Gymnasium), 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for a Senior Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Brunch, on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M.
2. The Acting City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, for the benefit of the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of The Waterfront (Gymnasium), 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M., for the Senior Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Brunch, sponsored by Council Member, Anibal Ramos, Jr.
