The Ironbound Community Health-Hope and Esperanza Health Center - Back to School, Community Event and Health Fair will be held on Montclair Avenue between Woodside and Mt. Prospect Avenue (North Ward), from the hours of 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
The City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fees ($50.00) for street closure will be waived.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide wholesome family entertainment and education that allows residents the opportunity to gather and renew old acquaintances an establish new ones; and
WHEREAS, Ironbound Community Health-Hope and Esperanza Health Center - Back to School Community Event and Health Fair provides the City of Newark the perfect opportunity to collaborate with various fun and game activities, for families and friends that have resided in the community; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the Ironbound Community Health-Hope and Esperanza Health Center - Back to School, Community Event and Health Fair to be held on Montclair Avenue between Woodside and Mt. Prospect Avenue (North Ward), on Friday, August 11, 2023 (Rain Date: Friday, August 18, 2023), from 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Ironbound Community Health-Hope and Esperanza Health Center - Back to School Community Event and Health Fair to be held on Montclair Avenue between Woodside and Mt. Prospect Avenue (North Ward), on Friday, August 11, 2023 (Rain Date: Friday, August 18, 2023) from 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
2. The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fee of ($50.00), however, it does not waive insurance coverage requirements due to be provided by event organizers or costs above service charges described in R.O. 5:10-1 et seq.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports and declares co-sponsorship by the Municipal Council of the Ironbound Community Health-Hope & Esperanza Health Center - Back to School Community Event and Health Fair will be held on Montclair Avenue between Woodside and Mt. Prospect Avenue (North Ward) , on Friday, August 11, 2023 (Rain Date: Friday, August 18, 2023) from 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M., sponsored by Council Member, Luis A. Quintana.
