WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:5-113, a request has been made for Lien Assignment for Tax Sale Certificate that is presently held by the City of Newark, against property known as Block 519, Lot 2, 112-150 Passaic Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104; and
WHEREAS, notice has been sent as required by law to the property owner, shown as Fast Oil Co. whose mailing address is 120 Caranetta Drive, Lakewood, New Jersey 08701, advising of the Tax Delinquency with no response; and
WHEREAS, in consideration for assigning Tax Certificate No. 2023-0503 dated September 15, 2023, to Roman E & G Corporation, 14 Ogden Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104 the City will receive all delinquent property taxes owing and due in the amount of $192,357.58.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY THAT:
1. The assignment of Tax Sale Certificate No. 2023-0503 dated September 15, 2023 is hereby authorized.
2. The Tax Collector is hereby authorized and directed to execute for the aforesaid amount due of $192,357.58 the assignment of the Tax Sale Certificate mentioned herein.
3. The Owner of Record shall have the authority to redeem this Tax Certificate within the time frame permitted by Law with proper notice from the assignee.
4. Said assignment once approved will be prepared by the Tax Collector and executed with proper signatures and to be recorded with the Essex County Registrars Office.
STATEMENT
This Resolution assigns Tax Sale Certificate No. 2023-0503 to property known as Block 519, Lot 2, 112-150 Passaic Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
