WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting Council Member Luis A. Quintana for the Annual Children's Easter Egg Hunt Celebration, to be held at Branch Brook Park, between Heller Parkway and Mill Street by the Visitor's Center, Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, April 7, 2012, with a rain date of Saturday, April 14, 2012; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of this program which will benefit the children, families and residents of the City of Newark.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY:
1. That it does hereby authorize the Insurance Fund Commission of Newark, New Jersey, to execute on behalf of the Municipal Council, a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement providing for the indemnification for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Branch Brook Park, between Heller Parkway and Mill Street by the Visitor's Center, Newark, New Jersey on Saturday, April 7, 2012, with a rain date of Saturday, April 14, 2012, beginning at 9:00 A.M. and ending at 6:00 P.M.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council shall, forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless Agreement to the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
