WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Public Safety Awareness for Newark Disabled Students event at the Branch Brook Park, Cherry Blossom Welcome Center on Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. (Includes Set-up at 9:30 A.M. and Breakdown ending at 3:00 P.M.) (Rain Date: Monday, April 30, 2018); and

 

WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

 

1.  The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Branch Brook Park, Cherry Blossom Welcome Center, for the Public Safety Awareness for Newark Disabled Students event on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. (Includes Set-up at 9:30 A.M. and Breakdown ending at 3:00 P.M.) (Rain Date: Monday, April 30, 2018).

 

2.  The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.

 

3.   A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

 

STATEMENT

 

This resolution hereby supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City’s use of Branch Brook Park, Cherry Blossom Welcome Center, on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
