WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Community Meeting, at the Dr. William H. Horton Elementary School, 291 North 7th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07107 (Cafeteria or Auditorium and Rest Rooms), on Thursday, February 9, 2017, from 6:00 P.M. 9:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this Community Meeting by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Dr. William H. Horton Elementary School, 291 North 7th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07107 (Cafeteria or Auditorium and Rest Rooms), on Thursday, February 9, 2017, from 6:00 P.M. 9:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Dr. William H. Horton Elementary School, 291 North 7th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07107 (Cafeteria or Auditorium and Rest Rooms), on Thursday, February 9, 2017, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. for a Community Meeting, sponsored by Councilman Joseph A. McCallum, Jr.
