WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Annual Mass dedicated to Roberto Clemente at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Newark Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, and its agents, employees and representatives for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the Annual Mass dedicated to Roberto Clemente, to be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, for the benefit of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, and its agents, employees and representatives for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., for the Annual Mass dedicated to Roberto Clemente, sponsored by Council Member Luis A. Quintana.
