WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Community Meeting concerning traffic issues between Manchester Place and Highland Avenue at Park Elementary School (Auditorium and Restrooms), 120 Manchester Place, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Thursday, June 8, 2017, between 5:30 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event, at Park Elementary School (Auditorium and Restrooms), 120 Manchester Place, Newark, New Jersey 07104, by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, to hold harmless, indemnify, and defend the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Park Elementary School (Auditorium and Restrooms), 120 Manchester Place, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Thursday, June 8, 2017, between 5:30 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. for a Community Meeting concerning traffic issues between Manchester Place and Highland Avenue.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

This resolution supports the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for the City of Newark’s use of Park Elementary School (Auditorium and Restrooms), 120 Manchester Place, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Thursday, June 8, 2017, between 5:30 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. for a Community Meeting concerning traffic issues between Manchester Place and Highland Avenue, sponsored by Councilman Anibal Ramos, Jr.
