WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Central Ward Community Meeting at Central High School, 246 18th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108, on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.; and

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Central High School, 246 18^th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

1.                     The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Central High School, 246 18^th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Central High School - Auditorium, 246 18^th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108, for a Central Ward Community Meeting on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.

2.                     The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Central High School, 246 18^th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108, for their records.

3.                     A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

STATEMENT:

This Resolution ratifies and supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Central High School, 246 18th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Central High School, 246 18th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108, Monday, July 21, 2025, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., for the Central Ward Community Meeting.
