The City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fees ($200.00) for the Walk event will be waived.

Whereas, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide an essential service to the residents of Newark, while also bringing attention and awareness to an issue that effects all segments of the society; and
WHEREAS, the Corpus Christi Walk will be held in Newark, NJ. The City of Newark’s Special Event Application Fees of Two Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($(200.00) for the event will be waived; and
WHEREAS, the Corpus Christi Walk is an opportunity to let the City of Newark and its residents take notice that every ward in this City can and will offer the best of opportunities, fun, education, and information that may be needed in every category.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Corpus Christi Walk, on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
2. The Municipal Council is sponsoring this event and waives the City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fee of Two Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($200.00), however, it does not waive insurance coverage requirements due to be provided by event organizers or costs above service charges described in R.O. 5:10-1 et seq.
