The Mother’s Day Festival will be held on the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and North 5th Street to Abington Avenue, from 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.
The City of Newark’s Special Event Application Fee of ($500.00) for the Street Fair/Festival will be waived.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide a wholesome family and neighborhood experience that allows the opportunity to gather and renew old acquaintances and establish new ones; and
WHEREAS, the Aldine Street Annual Block Party, from (Set- up 10:00 A.M.) 12: P.M. until 8:00 P.M. (Clean-up 8:30 P.M.), The City of Newark’s Special Event Application Fee of Five Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($500.00) for the Street Fair/Festival will be waived.
WHEREAS, the Aldine Street Annual Block Party will be a appreciated and rewarding community experience for the residents and families that live in the area; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the Aldine Street Annual Block Party , on Saturday, April 30, 2022, 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Aldine Street Annual Block Party, Saturday, April 30, 2022, (Set- up 10:00 A.M.) 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. (Clean-up 8:30 P.M.).
2. The Municipal Council is co-sponsoring this special event and waives the City of Newark’s Special Event Permit Application Fee of Five Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($500.00), however, it does not waive insurance coverage requirements due to be provided by event organizers or costs above service charges described in R.O. 5:10-1 et seq.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports and declares co-sponsorship by the Municipal Council of the Aldine Street Annual Block Party, Saturday, April 30, 2022, 10:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M., sponsored by Council President, Luis A. Quintana.
