WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting an Annual South Ward Father's Day Program at Peshine Avenue School's Playground, at 433 Peshine Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, on Saturday, June 21, 2014, from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. (program 1:00 P.M. - 5:30 P.M.); and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Peshine Avenue School's Playground, at 433 Peshine Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, on Saturday, June 21, 2014, from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. (program 1:00 P.M. - 5:30 P.M.).
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. This Hold Harmless is hereby ratified from June 21, 2014 to the date of adoption of this authorizing resolution.
4. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby ratifies and authorizes the support and the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Peshine Avenue School's Playground, at 433 Peshine Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, for Honorable Councilman Ras J. Baraka's Annual South Ward Father's Day Program on Saturday, June 21, 2014, from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. (program 1:00 P.M. - 5:30 P.M.).
