WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the 2nd Annual Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Children’s Halloween Festivities at Rafael Hernandez School (Parking Lot), located at 345 Broadway, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 12:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Rafael Hernandez School (Parking Lot), located at 345 Broadway, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Saturday, October 29, 2016, from 12:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M.
2. This Hold Harmless Agreement is ratified from October 29, 2016 to the date of adoption of this resolution.
3. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
4. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby ratifies, and supports the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Rafael Hernandez School (Parking Lot), located at 345 Broadway, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Saturday, October 29, 2015, from 12:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. for the 2nd Annual Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Children’s Halloween Festivities, sponsored by Councilman Luis A. Quintana.
