WHEREAS, the Municipal Council desires to support the Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Branch Brook Park, Cherry Blossom Welcome Center, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Saturday, March 30, 2024 (Rain Date: Saturday, April 6, 2024), from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. (Includes Set-up at 8:00 A.M. and Clean-up/Breakdown ending at 5:00 P.M.); and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event that will benefit Newark residents, by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Branch Brook Park, Cherry Blossom Welcome Center, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, on Saturday, March 30, 2024 (Rain Date: Saturday, April 6, 2024), from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. (Includes Set-up at 8:00 A.M. and Clean-up/Breakdown ending at 5:00 P.M.).
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Branch Brook Park, Cherry Blossom Welcome Center, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, to be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 (Rain Date: Saturday, April 6, 2024), from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M.
