WHEREAS, Resolution 7R1-a adopted on October 24, 2018, authorized the Business Administrator to enter into a contract with Integrated Online Security, Inc. for two (2) years commencing May 1, 2018 through April 30, 2020, with an option to renew for one (1) additional year to provide System Support, Training, Enhancement and Maintenance of the City’s network security systems; and
WHEREAS, the contract and the authorizing resolution allowed the City of Newark to exercise an option to extend the contract for an additional one (1) year period; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to renew the contract under the previously existing terms and conditions from May 1, 2020 through April 30, 2021, for an amount not to exceed One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($175,000.00) for the services as described in the original contract; and
WHEREAS, this contract is being awarded pursuant to a “Non-Fair and Open” process pursuant to State Pay-to-Play Law, N.J.S.A.19:44A-20.5 and is in compliance with the City’s Ordinance on Contractor Pay-to-Play.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Mayor and/or his designee, the Business Administrator are authorized to renew and execute a contract with Integrated Online Security, Inc. for one (1) year from May 1, 2020 through April 30, 2021 to provide System Support, Training, Enhancement and Maintenance of a customized security environment for an amount not to exceed One Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($175,000.00).
2. The contract is ratified from May 1, 2020 through the date of adoption by the Municipal Council.
3. All good and services of this renewal are to be performed pursuant to the terms and conditions stated in the original contract.
4. Attached hereto is a Comptroller’s Certification, which states that partial funds are available in the amount of Seventy-Five Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($75,000.00) are available in the 2020 Adopted Budget, Business Unit NW011, Dept. 030, Div./Proj. 0306, Activity A, Account #71450 Budget Ref. B2020. The certification of funds shall be filed with the Office of the City Clerk.
5. The fully executed contract shall be filed with the Office of the City Clerk by the Director of the Office of Information Technology.
STATEMENT
This resolution ratifies and authorizes the Mayor and/or his designee, the Business Administrator to renew the contract with Integrated Online Security, Inc. at 520 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for one (1) additional year commencing May 1, 2020 through April 30, 2021 to provide System Support, Training, Enhancement and Maintenance of a customized security environment for the City of Newark, for a maximum amount not to exceed $175,000.00 for the period commencing May 1, 2020 through April 30, 2021.
