WHEREAS, City of Newark is desirous of holding the “29th Annual Sing in Praise of King” a/k/a the Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Celebration (“City Event”) at the Newark Symphony Hall located at 1020 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102 on Thursday, January 26, 2017; and
WHEREAS, the City must enter into a Facility License Agreement with the Newark Performing Arts Corporation, for the use of Newark Symphony Hall located at 1020 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for the City Event in the amount of $11,465.00, representing Facility Use and Ancillary Services Fees; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support of the City event by approving the execution of the Facility License Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Mayor and or his designee, the Director of the Department of Recreation, Cultural and Senior Services, are authorized to execute a Facility License Agreement with Newark Performing Arts Corporation, with its principal offices located at 1030 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for the use of Newark Symphony Hall, located at 1020 Broad Street, Newark, NJ 07102, on Thursday, January 26, 2017, for the holding the “29th Annual Sing in Praise of King” a/k/a the Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., Celebration (“City Event”).
2. The amount of the License and Ancillary Services Fees under the Facility License Agreement shall be for an amount not to exceed $11,465.00.
3. The term of this Agreement shall be for the entire day of Thursday, January 26, 2017 or the end of the City Event, whichever is later
4. There are sufficient funds in the amount of $11,465.00 for the purpose set forth herein above and the line appropriations which shall be charged are as follows:

5. A fully executed copy of the Facility License Agreement shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk by the Director of the Department of Recreation, Cultural and Senior Services.
