WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting two (2) North Ward Movies Under the Stars and Back to School Events at Branch Brook Park (by Ballantine Parkway and Lake Street gate entrance), Newark, New Jersey 07104 on Thursday, August 27, 2015 and Friday, September 18, 2015, between 5:00 P.M. and 11:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event that will benefit Newark residents by approving this Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement with the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Branch Brook Park (near Ballantine Parkway and Lake Street gate entrance), Newark, New Jersey 07104 for two (2) Annual North Ward Movies Under the Stars and Back to School Events on Thursday, August 27, 2015 and Friday, September 18, 2015, between 5:00 P.M. and 11:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT:
This resolution hereby authorizes the support and issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Branch Brook Park (by Ballantine Parkway and Lake Street gate entrance), Newark, New Jersey 07104 for the Honorable Councilman Anibal Ramos Jr’s. two (2) North Ward Movies Under the Stars and Back to School Events on Thursday, August 27, 2015 and Friday, September 18, 2015, between 5:00 P.M. and 11:00 P.M.
