WHEREAS, Newark One -Stop Career Center/NewarkWORKS is desirous of conducting eligibility determination and certification for its Summer Youth Work Experience Program for 2016, application certification at the following Newark Public School facilities throughout the City of Newark, New Jersey on the following dates:
Arts High School February 25, 2016, March 1, 2, 3, 2016 (3:30-6:30 pm)
Weequahic High School February 16, 17, 18, 22, 2016 (3:30-6:00 pm)
East Side High School February 23, 24, 2016, (3:30-6:00 pm)
Science Park High School March 7, 8,9,10, 2016 (3:30-6:30 pm)
Barringer High School March 29, 30, 31, 2016 (3:30-6:00 pm)
Camden Street School March 21, 22, 23, 24, 2016 (3:30-6:00 pm)
Camden Street School April 4, 5, 6, 7, 2016 (3:30-6:00 pm)
Speedway Elementary School March 15, 16, 17, 2016 (3:30-6:30 pm)
Central High School June 1, 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, 2016 (3:30-6:00 pm)
WHEREAS, the event time at all locations is 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm; and
WHEREAS, in the past, the City of Newark has supported the Summer Youth Work Experience Program, which has provided employment opportunities for Newark youth in worksites throughout Essex County; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council of the City of Newark wishes to continue supporting the Summer Youth Work Experience Program; and
WHEREAS, Newark Public Schools require that the City of Newark submit a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to indemnify Newark Public Schools from any claims arising out of the use of school properties that are related to the Summer Youth Work Experience Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark, supports the efforts of the Newark One Stop Career Center/NewarkWORKS, to conduct its Summer Youth Work Experience Program 2016 application certification at the following Newark Public School facilities throughout the

3. The Municipal Council hereby authorizes the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission to execute Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreements in favor of the Newark Public Schools for claims arising out of the usage of the above said properties on the above date and times that are related to the Program.
4. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a certified copy of this resolution and true copies of the fully executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public School to their main offices located at 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
5. Copies of this resolution and the fully executed Hold harmless and Indemnification Agreements shall be filed in the Office of the city Clerk by the Acting Deputy Director of the Newark One Stop Career Center/NewarkWORKS.
STATEMENT
This Resolution authorizes the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission to execute Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreements in favor of certain Newark Public Schools for claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of those facilities on certain dates for the Summer Youth Work Experience Program 2016 application certification to be conducted by Newark One-Stop Career Center/NewarkWORKS.
