Resolution 7R1-l adopted on February 05, 2025 authorized utilizing State Contract(s) T0106 Law Enforcement Firearms Equipment and Supplies for an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($300,000.00) during the period February 5, 2025 through May 13, 2025, inclusive of any extensions by the State.
Resolution 7R1-p, adopted on August 08, 2025, provided additional funding sources for purchases authorized by Resolution 7R1-l and increased the contract awarded by Five Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($500,000.00), for an increased total amount not to exceed Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($800,000.00)
This Resolution shall authorize the provision of additional funding sources for the existing contract to purchase protective equipment and supplies from State Contract(s) T0106 Law Enforcement Firearms Equipment and Supplies for the Department of Public Safety. All other terms shall remain the same.

WHEREAS, on February 05, 2025, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R1-l authorizing the City of Newark (“City”) through its Purchasing Agent to utilize State Contract(s) T0106 Law Enforcement Firearms Equipment and Supplies from Authorized Distributor Atlantic Uniform Company, Inc., 468 Washington Avenue Belleville, NJ 07109 for an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($300,000.00) during the period February 5, 2025 through May 13, 2025, inclusive of any extensions by the State; and
WHEREAS, on August 06, 2025, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R1-p authorizing the City of Newark (“City”) through its Purchasing Agent to provide additional funding sources for purchases authorized by Resolution 7R1-l and increase the contract awarded by Five Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($500,000.00), for an increased total amount not to exceed Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($800,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Safety desires to provide additional funding sources for purchases authorized by Resolutions 7R1-l, adopted on February 05, 2025, and 7R1-p adopted on August 06, 2025; all other provisions of the resolutions and contract shall remain the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. Resolution 7R1-l adopted on February 05, 2025 is hereby amended to provide additional funding sources as a City agency permitted to utilize State Contract T020 Law Enforcement Firearms Equipment and Supplies Master Blanket 17-FLEET-00751, 17-FLEET-00763, 17-FLEET-00769, and 17-FLEET-00772 to purchase protective firearm equipment and supplies from authorized distributor Atlantic Uniform Company, Inc., 468 Washington Avenue Belleville, New Jersey 07109, for the period commencing upon the Municipal Council’s approval of this Resolution until May 14, 2026, inclusive of extension by the State. The additional Funding source authorized hereby shall be budget account: Department of Public Safety NW011-190-1902-Various Budget Year(s).
2. All other provisions of Resolution 7R1-l adopted on February 05, 2025, and Resolution 7R1-p, adopted on August 08, 2025.shall remain the same.
3. The authorization granted hereunder is ratified back from February 05, 2025 to the date of adoption of this Resolution.
STATEMENT
This Resolution ratifies, authorizes and amends Resolutions 7R1-l, adopted on February 05, 2025 and 7R1-p, adopted on August 06, 2025, to provide additional funding sources for purchases under State contract T020 Law Enforcement Firearms Equipment and Supplies Master Blanket 17-FLEET-00751, 17-FLEET-00763, 17-FLEET-00769, and 17-FLEET-00772 to purchase protective firearm equipment and supplies from authorized distributor Atlantic Uniform Company, Inc., 468 Washington Avenue Belleville, New Jersey 07109, for a total not-to-exceed Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($800,000.00), for the period commencing upon the Municipal Council’s approval of this Resolution until May 14, 2026, inclusive of extension by the State. All other provisions of Resolution 7R1-l adopted on February 05, 2025, and Resolution 7R1-p, adopted on August 08, 2025, shall remain the same.
