The venue accidently overbooked for the previous date of the event, therefore there is a need to reschedule the event.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R8-d on April 24, 2024 authorizing a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement with The Waterfront (Gymnasium), 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Senior Brunch, sponsored by Council Member, Anibal Ramos, to originally be held on, Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M., however due to the venue’s accidental overbooking, there is a need to reschedule the event; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Senior Brunch, at The Waterfront (Gymnasium), 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, to be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of The Waterfront (Gymnasium), 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Senior Brunch, to be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

This Resolution amends its supports for the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, for the benefit of The Waterfront, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of The Waterfront (Gymnasium), 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 9:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M., for a Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Senior Brunch, sponsored by Council Member, Anibal Ramos, Jr.
