WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R3-d, adopted on September, 2014, the Municipal Council authorized the Mayor and/or his designee, the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic and Housing Development, to enter into and execute an agreement with St. Mark Unified Freewill Baptist Church, 669-671 So. Eleventh St., Newark, New Jersey 07103, for the private sale and redevelopment of the following City-owned properties (“Redevelopment Agreement”), for the total purchase price of $38,836.00:

WHEREAS, section 200 A of the Redevelopment Agreement contained an error regarding the type of Deed the City would use to transfer the above property to St. Mark Unified Freewill Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend Section 200A of the Redevelopment Agreement so that the transfer of the above-referenced property occurs through a Quitclaim Deed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Mayor and/or his designee, the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic and Housing Development are hereby authorized to enter into and execute a First Amended Agreement for the Sale of Land and Redevelopment with St. Mark Unified Freewill Baptist Church, 669-671 So. Eleventh St., Newark, NJ 07103, amending Section 200 A of the Redevelopment Agreement, authorized through Resolution 7R3-d, adopted on September, 2014
2. All of terms and conditions of the Redevelopment Agreement, authorized by the Newark Municipal Council pursuant to Resolution 7R3-d, adopted on September, 2014, except as amended through this resolution, shall remain in full force and effect are hereby ratified.
3. A copy of this First Amended Agreement for the Sale of Land and Redevelopment shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk by the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Deputy Mayor/Director of the Department of Economic and Housing Development.
