WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt at Branch Brook Park - Visitor’s Center (between Heller Parkway and Mill Street), Newark, New Jersey 07104, on March 26, 2016 (Rain Date, Saturday, April 2, 2016) between 12:00 Noon and 2:00 P.M.; and

 

            WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving this Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement with the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.

 

           

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

 

1.                     The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Branch Brook Park - Visitor’s Center (between Heller Parkway and Mill Street), Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the Annual Children’s Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 26, 2016 (Rain Date, Saturday, April 2, 2016) between 12:00 Noon and 2:00 P.M. 

 

2.                     That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for their records.

 

3.                     A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.

 

STATEMENT

 

This resolution authorizes and supports the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, 115 Clifton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Branch Brook Park - Visitor’s Center (between Heller Parkway and Mill Street), Newark, New Jersey 07104, for the Children’s Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 26, 2016 (Rain Date, Saturday, April 2, 2016) between 12:00 Noon and 2:00 P.M.
