The appointee had the original bond update to reflect the proper amount.

WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-120, Oliver Richard Mayson, of Newark, New Jersey 07107, was appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R8-a, adopted at the September 1, 2021, Regular Municipal Council Meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Oliver Richard Mayson, of Newark, New Jersey 07107, must give a bond, in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and sufficiency by the Corporation Counsel and Municipal Council; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-121, a Constable must qualify within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, and shall hold office for a term of three (3) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The term of the Constable appointment of Oliver Richard Mayson, of Newark, New Jersey 07107, is for a term of three (3) years from the date of appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
2. The Constable Bond, in the amount of $5,000.00, issued to Oliver Richard Mayson, of Newark, New Jersey 07107, is approved as to form, amount, and sufficiency.
STATEMENT
This Resolution authorizes and approves the form, amount, and sufficiency of the Constable Bond, posted for Oliver Richard Mayson, of Newark, New Jersey 07107, who was appointed to serve as a Constable in the City of Newark, New Jersey, for a period of three (3) years from the date of appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
