WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Summer Event Cook Out for Residents of Riverside Villa, at the Water Front Sports Arts Entertainment Parking Lot, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 (rain date, Thursday, August 14, 2014), between 12:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports and authorizes the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of the Water Front Sports Arts Entertainment Parking Lot, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for a Summer Event Cookout for Residents of Riverside Villa, on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 (rain date, Thursday, August 14, 2014), between 12:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M.
2. That the City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby authorizes the support and the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of the Water Front Sports Arts Entertainment Parking Lot, 2 Grafton Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104, for Honorable Councilman Anibal Ramos, Jr's. Summer Event Cook Out for Residents of Riverside Villa, on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 (rain date, Thursday, August 14, 2014), between 12:00 P.M. and 3:00 P.M.
