WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R9-b adopted on January 20, 2016, the Municipal Council supported the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for a Holiday Performance by the dance group Paganini at East Side High School, 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, on Sunday, January 24, 2016, between 2:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the entity has requested authorization to reschedule the performance date from Sunday, January 24, 2016 to Sunday, January 31, 2016 and time from 2:00 P.M. through 6:00 P.M. to 11:00 A.M. through 6:00 P.M., due to the impending blizzard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of an amended Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of East Side High School - 238 Van Buren, Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, on Sunday, January 31, 2016, between 11:00 A.M. through 6:00 P.M. due to an impeding blizzard.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the amended Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed amended Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution approves and supports the issuance by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission of an amended Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Newark Public Schools, 2 Cedar Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of East Side High School, 238 Van Buren Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105, for the Holiday Performance by the dance group Paganini on Sunday, January 31, 2016, from 11:00 A.M. through 6:00 P.M.
