WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the West Ward Community Meeting at Speedway Elementary School, 701 South Orange Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07106, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Speedway Elementary School, 701 South Orange Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07106.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Speedway Elementary School, 701 South Orange Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07106, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Speedway Elementary School, 701 South Orange Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07106, for a West Ward Community Meeting on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Speedway Elementary School, 701 South Orange Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07106, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution ratifies and supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Speedway Elementary School, 701 South Orange Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07106, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Speedway Elementary School, 701 South Orange Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07106, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., for the West Ward Community Meeting.
