WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting a Women’s History Month Luncheon at Kretchmer Elderly, 100 Ludlow Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104 (Community Room); Seth Boyden Elderly, 130 Dayton Street, Newark, New Jersey 07114 and Century 21, 724 Hunterdon Street, Newark, New Jersey 07108, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026; Thursday, March 26, 2026 and Friday, March 27, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. (set up 11:00 AM); and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Kretchmer Elderly, 100 Ludlow Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104 (Community Room); Seth Boyden Elderly, 130 Dayton Street, Newark, New Jersey 07114 and Century 21, 724 Hunterdon Street, Newark, New Jersey 07108, for a Women’s History Month Luncheon, on Wednesday, March 25, 2026; Thursday, March 26, 2026 and Friday, March 27, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. (set up 11:00 AM).
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This Resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark’s Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of Newark Housing Authority, 500 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Kretchmer Elderly, 100 Ludlow Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104 (Community Room); Seth Boyden Elderly, 130 Dayton Street, Newark, New Jersey 07114 and Century 21, 724 Hunterdon Street, Newark, New Jersey 07108, Wednesday, March 25, 2026; Thursday, March 26, 2026 and Friday, March 27, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. (set up 11:00 AM), for a Women’s History Month Luncheon, sponsored by Council Member Patrick O. Council.
