WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council desires to support a Children's Halloween Parade and Festivities at Flamboyan Manor (outside), 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 (if it rains, festivities will continue inside), sponsored by Council Member, Luis A. Quintana, on Monday, October 31, 2016, between 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. (Event 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.); and
WHEREAS, the Newark Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event that will benefit Newark residents by approving the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Flamboyan Manor (inside/outside), 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council of the City of Newark supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission for the benefit of Flamboyan Manor, 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of Flamboyan Manor (inside/outside), for the Annual Children’s Halloween Parade and Festivities on Monday, October 31, 2016, between 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. (Event 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.).
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Newark Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to the Flamboyan Manor, for their records.
3. A copy of the executed Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the Insurance Fund Commission, shall be filed in the Office of the City Clerk.
STATEMENT
This resolution supports the issuance, by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement for the benefit of the Flamboyan Manor, 147 Verona Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07104 for any claims arising out of the City of Newark’s use of the Flamboyan Manor (outside/inside), (if it rains, festivities will continue inside), for the Annual Children's Halloween Parade and Festivities on Monday, October 31, 2016, between 9:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. (Event 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.) sponsored by Councilman Luis A. Quintana.
