WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is relocated as a bus stop:
DELETED BUS STOP:
1. In the Central Ward, along Norfolk Street, southbound on the westerly side at:
Sussex Avenue, nearside
Beginning at the northerly curb line of Sussex Avenue and extending 105’ northerly therefrom.
ADDED BUS STOP:
2. In the Central Ward, along Norfolk Street, southbound on the westerly side at:
Sussex Avenue, farside
Beginning at the southerly curb line of Sussex Avenue and extending 130’ southerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the Central Ward, the following described location be hereby deleted:
Along Norfolk Street, southbound on the westerly side, at Sussex Avenue nearside, beginning at the northerly curb line of Sussex Avenue and extending 105’ northerly therefrom.
2. In the Central Ward, the following described location be hereby added:
Along Norfolk Street, southbound on the westerly side, at Sussex Avenue farside, beginning at the southerly curb line of Sussex Avenue and extending 130’ southerly therefrom.
3. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
4. No amendment will be made to this resolution without the approval of the Municipal Council of the City of Newark.
