WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Health and Community Wellness provides medical care services pursuant to and consistent with Health Care Program Statutes (Section 330 of Public Health Services Act: 42 U.S.C. Section 254b), Program Regulation (43CFR part 51 and 42 CFR 56.201) for Community and Migrant Health Centers and Grant Regulations (42 CFR part 74), Affordable Health Care Act; and
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Health and Human Resources Health, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), has made grant funds available to end the HIV epidemic; and
WHEREAS, on December 13, 2019, on behalf of the City of Newark (the "City"), the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness electronically filed an application to HRSA, requesting grant funding in the amount of Two Hundred and Sixty-One Thousand Six Hundred and Thirty-Nine Dollars and Zero Cents ($261,639.00), to Ending HIV Epidemic Primary Care HIV Prevention (a copy of the application is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and...
