WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of Thirteen Thousand Eight Hundred Thirteen Dollars and Zero Cents ($13,813.00), for the Seton Hall Nursing Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2024 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by the Notice of Award dated January 30, 2024, the Seton Hall University School of Nursing awarded the City of Newark additional funds in the amount of Thirteen Thousand Eight Hundred Thirteen Dollars and Zero Cents ($13,813.00). The aforementioned program will expand and strengthen the nurse workforce for integrated health in vulnerable populations; and
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides that the Governing Body, by a two-thirds vote, may make temporary emergency appropriations for any purpose for which appropriations may lawfully be made for the period ...
