WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $5,290,778.00 for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Adult, WIA Youth, and Dislocated Worker Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2014 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose abovementioned; and
WHEREAS, by an award letter date May 5, 2014 from the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the City was awarded additional funding for WIA Adult, WIA Youth, and Dislocated Worker Program in the amount of $5,290,778.00 to provide funds ...
