WHEREAS, the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), has made grant funds available to support Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Health and Community Wellness/Mary Eliza Mahoney Health Center (DHCW), as a Federally Qualified Health Center, would be the direct recipient of these funds; and
WHEREAS, on July 13, 2023, on behalf of the City of Newark ("City"), the Director of DHCW electronically filed an application to HRSA, requesting grant funding in the amount of One Million Dollars and Zero Cents ($1,000,000.00) to support Community Project Funding/Congressionally Directed Spending (a copy of the application is attached hereto and made a part hereof); and
