Deleting: Pacific Street northbound at Walnut Street nearside; and Union Street northbound at Ferry Street nearside, Union Street northbound at Green Street nearside (East Ward).

WHEREAS, New Jersey Transit Bus Safety Department conducted an investigation for the proposed designation and deletion of Bus Stop locations has requested this Resolution due to the congestion and improper parking by the residents on the current routes of the #34 bus line. Be advised revenues for the City will be impacted due to the elimination of some permit parking along the proposed bus stop on Walnut Street at McWhorter Street; and
WHEREAS, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:4-197(3)(A), the following described locations are added and deleted as a Bus Stop.
Added:
1. In the East Ward, along Walnut Street, westbound, on the northerly side thereof:
a. Pacific Street, far side
Beginning at the westerly curb line of Pacific Street and extending 100 feet westerly therefrom.
b. McWhorter Street, far side
Beginning at the westerly curb line of McWhorter Street and extending 100 feet westerly therefrom.
2. In the East Ward, along NJ Railroad Avenue, northbound, on the easterly side thereof:
a. Lafayette Street, nearside
Beginning at the southerly curb line of Lafayette Street and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.
