WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($100,000.00), for the Greater Newark HealthCare Coalition Inc. ("GNHCC") Learning Collaborative Program, and no adequate provision has been made in the 2026 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by the Notice of Agreement letter provided on or about July 1, 2025, the GNHCC awarded the City of Newark funds in the amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($100,000.00). The aforementioned program will provide funds for advocacy support in the implementation of the Hypertensive Quality Project to assist the GNHCC in providing services to the residents of the City of Newark; and
