AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23:5-1, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES, OF TITLE 23, TRAFFIC AND PARKING, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, BY ADDING THE EAST SIDE OF DELAVAN PLACE BETWEEN DELAVAN AVENUE AND ITS SOUTHERLY TERMINUS. (NORTH WARD).

WHEREAS, the residents of Delavan Place have submitted a petition for No Parking Anytime on the East side of Delavan Place between Delavan Avenue and its Southerly terminus, in the North Ward; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Engineering desires to revise Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, by adding No Parking Anytime restrictions on the east side of Delavan Place, between Delavan Avenue and its Southerly terminus, in the North Ward.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
Section 1. Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at all Times, of Title 23, Traffic and Parking, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by adding thereto the following:
Delavan Place, East side, between Delavan Avenue and its Southerly terminus, in the North Ward
Section 2. Regulatory signs shall be erected and maintained by the City of Newark.
Section 3. Any ordinance or parts thereof inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.
Section 5. This ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.
